Tax day is here, but there's some good news
Tax day, the day that every working man and woman dreads, is here. But, there’s some good news. According to NBC News, the budgets cuts have resulted in the number of IRS agents being reduced.
Meaning, there will be less audits and letters going out saying you owe Uncle Sam. Now keep in mind that just because you’re chances of being audited have decreased, this doesn’t mean you should try any tricks to increase your chances of getting a refund check.
So, don’t claim your sister’s child or even your sister. Please stay clear of old man temptation telling you to bury that extra $20,000 in cash that you made last year underground because the NSA may help the IRS to find it.
Don’t claim Corner Jim who hasn’t filed income tax since 1989, and don’t convince your mama to put her house in your name for the time being.
Just stay clear of all of these last minute tricks that could possibly increase your chances of being audited by the few IRS agents who are still around.
